Rob Travis is a professional photographer based in Brevard, NC and the owner of Blue Moon Fine Art Gallery and Blue Moon Metal Prints in Brevard, NC.

Formerly a fused glass artist, his interest and appreciation of visual two-dimensional art started early in life when he learned to draw.  Rob took up photography in 2007, and quickly became known for his innate ability to create a distinct sense of harmony within the frame of his visual compositions. Largely self-taught, Rob has attended numerous workshops, seminars and one-on-one sessions with several accomplished professional photographers in his ongoing quest to develop his technical and artistic skills.

I explore nature’s beauty constantly – up a mountain, down to a waterfall and out to my own backyard. I photograph the majestic and the minute, all focused on capturing the spirit within. At the end of the day I want my photography to take my viewers out there with me, on their own journey, through my art. 

His beautiful nature and landscape images have won awards in local, regional and national photography contests. His work has appeared in many local and national publications including Blue Ridge Country, Our State, WNC Magazine, Views Magazine, and the Laurel of Asheville.
